Žabí kôň route

In order to be considered a climber you should have passed the mountaineering matriculation exam. That means climbing the Žabí kôň route. It’s a legendary and spectacular climb with a beautiful exposed edge. The climb itself is relatively short but all the more beautiful. The ascent starts with the shuttle to the Popradské pleso hut. It continues along a marked trail approaching the foot of the Žabí kôň. It is followed by climbing the route itself  to the summit. From the top it rappels down to the ground and descends to the trail. The marked trail leads back to Popradské pleso hut.
