Skitouring

Ski touring is a combination of ski touring and classic winter touring with crampons. The use of skis and crampons always depends on the current snow conditions. For easy hikes, the use of crampons, ice axe is minimal and skiing is easy. Heavy tours requires very good walking on crampons, skiing steep sections around 40°, excellent fitness for long valley crossings. The table below shows a selection of hikes. It is possible to combine them or other destinations according to the client’s choice.

Description

Difficulty of ski touring:

  • good experience with ski mountaineering and avalanche problems
  • ability to ski in open terrain and in steep terrain with a slope of about 40°
  • the ability to climb and ski down during a ski tour approx. 1200 vertical metres per day
  • very good physical condition

  • guiding with a UIAGM mountain guide (the mountain guide has third party insurance and a valid UIAGM membership)
  • photos from the tour (with mobile phone)
  • good mood and individual approach of the guide:)
