Dragon’s ridge
The Dragon’s Ridge starts with the Zlomiskova tower and continues through the Little and Great Dragon’s head to the Dragon’s saddle. The ridge separates the Dragon valley from the Basin below the Dragon’s saddle. Its climbing difficulty is UIAA III. It offers beautiful ridge climbing with several rappels.

Description
Climb duration:
- 5 hours (from hut to hut)
Route:
The climb leads over the following peaks
- Zlomisková tower 2131m
- Malá Dračia head 2244m
- Veľká Dračia head 2254m
Difficulty of ascent:
- The climb is not suitable for beginners
- Very good fitness and climbing coordination required
- Ascent difficulty is III UIAA
- Technically demanding climbing terrain with very exposed places and climbing
- The whole ascent is done with a rope
Equipment needed:
- climbing shoes (vibram sole)
- backpack
- waterproof clothing for the mountains
- gloves
- hat
- food and drink 1,5 l/person
- spare sweatshirt (polartec or merino)
- magnesium or lump salt against cramps
What’s included:
- guiding with a UIAGM mountain guide (the mountain guide has third party insurance and a valid UIAGM membership)
- photos from the tour (with mobile phone)
- rental of climbing equipment (helmet, harness)
