The 6-day program in Chamonix will make all your mountaineering dreams come true. During one week you will experience ice and firn climbing with ice axes, spectacular climbing on the orange Chamonix granite, views of one of the most beautiful glacier massifs in Europe. In addition, this is mountain culture in the mecca of mountaineering. The unforgettable atmosphere of fresh morning coffee with a croissant and views of majestic granite needles and glaciers. A network of cable cars and trains allowing quick access up into the alpine environment. Tour all day amidst the granite giants, and in the evening, be carried away by the flavours of French cuisine in legendary Chamonix.

Location:

Chamonix – Mont Blanc, France

Itinerary:

The climbing in Chamonix surrounding area for 6 days. We select the routes and summits of the climbs according to the client’s abilities and preferences. Options are:

  • Dent du Géant, normal route
  • Tour Ronde, north face or Gervasutti route
  • Pointe Adolphe Rey, rock climbing
  • Pointe Lachenal, traverse of the ridge
  • Aiguille du Midi, Arête des Cosmiques, Rébuffat route
  • Aiguilles Rouges, Index, Brevent, rock climbing
  • Aiguille du Tour, Arête de la Table
  • Mont Blanc du Tacul, Triangle du Tacul
  • other as agreed

Difficulty:

  • very good climbing fitness is required
  • experience in alpine terrain is required
  • 100% health is required

Accommodation:

We choose accommodation according to the tours. If we go on day hikes from the valley with the help of cable cars, the accommodation is down in the valley. If we go on a multi-day climb we sleep in a mountain hut high up in the mountains.

Cable cars:

The best value is to buy a 6-day pass for all cable cars and trains in the valley

Transportation:

Transportation is individual. It is ideal if several people agree to be transported by one car. It is also possible to fly to Geneva and take a taxi or bus to Chamonix.

Equipment needed:

  • alpine technical boots (vibram sole)
  • crampons, ice axe, helmet, harness (rental included)
  • technical backpack
  • climbing shoes
  • headlamp
  • sunglasses suitable for glacier
  • technical waterproof and windproof fleece for the mountains
  • thermal underwear
  • spare technical sweatshirt (polartec or merino)
  • insulating layer – down jacket
  • sun cream with a factor of min. 50
  • gloves 2 pairs
  • hat
  • food and drink 1,5 l/person
  • list of mandatory equipment

The price includes:

  • guiding with a UIAGM mountain guide (the mountain guide has third party insurance and a valid UIAGM membership)
  • photos from the climbs (with mobile phone)
  • rental of mountaineering equipment (helmet, harness, crampons and ice axe)
  • A smile on the guide’s face and a pleasant comfort during the ascent 🙂
