Description

Ascent to Vysoká peak:

  • 6-8 hours Central couloir route to Vysoká peak
  • elevation gain 1050 from the Popradské pleso hut

Difficulty of ascent:

  • Difficulty of ascent through the normal (Central Trough) is II UIAA
  • Very good physical condition is required

Required equipment:

  • mountaineering boots (vibram sole)
  • backpack
  • waterproof clothing for the mountains
  • gloves
  • hat
  • food and drink 1,5 l/person
  • spare sweatshirt (polartec or merino)
  • magnesium or lump salt against cramps
  • list of mandatory equipment

Tour to the Vysoká peak includes:

  • guiding by a UIAGM mountain guide (the mountain guide has third party insurance and valid UIAGM membership)
  • necessary technical material for climbing
  • rental of basic mountaineering equipment (helmet, harness, crampons, ice axe)
