Dynafit Tigard Big Mountain Camp is for those who want to improve their freetouring and freeride skills in the big mountains. We’ll be covering riding in couloirs and saddles. Analyze your skiing style and improve your skills. In the evening after the tour we will sit and discuss what we experienced during the day. This will include filming each participant’s ride and an evening analysis. There will be good cheer and sharing of experiences on the mountain. Bonuses from DYNAFIT will be included.

Description

Program:

  • 1. Day Friday 16:00 meeting of the participants in Stary Smokovec and taking over the rented Dynafit ski sets. After dinner short briefing, Lecture and small talks.
  • 2. Day Saturday freetouring and freeride according to current conditions. Skiing mostly saddles and couloirs in the valley. In the evening debriefing, evaluation of the day and small talks.
  • 3. Day Sunday freetouring and freeride according to current conditions. Skiing mostly saddles and couloirs in the valley. After the hike end of the camp and skiing down to Starý Smokovec.

Locations and objectives:

  • Small Cold Valley, Transverse Saddle, Saddle, Ice Saddle, Sheep Guard, Sheep Saddle, Cat Cauldron, Large and Small Hang
  • Veľká studená dolina, Priečne sedlo, Strelecké meadows
  • the actual list of objectives will be selected according to conditions and weather

Accommodation and food:

  • accommodation will be shared at Zamkovského hut
  • an email with instructions will arrive before the course
  • meals at the cottage

Difficulty:

  • advanced skiing skills in skialp and freeride
  • ability to climb and ski 1000m of elevation gain per day
  • good physical condition and good health

Equipment needed:

  • list of mandatory equipment
  • rental of a set of Dynafit skialp skis, skis with bindings and belts included in the price of the camp
  • in case of renting a set, the participant must send the skiboot size, ski length and his/her weight to info@robertvrlak.com
